How NOT to Talk to Clients
Learning how not to talk to clients is as important as learning how to talk to them. Since this series is about communication, I have a great conversation I had recently with a want a dear friend.

Here’s some things to consider:
-
Remember your customers come first & first impressions count.
-
Never assume, understand their needs and expectations.
-
Remember to check ALL your communication channels (not just email)
-
Know the importance of customer service, remember the 80/20 rule.
-
If you make a mistake, own it, learn from it and ask how you can correct it.
“The customer’s perception is your reality.”
While Laurie was sharing her story, I was thinking, “I have to share this with our community”! I strongly feel the importance of awesome customer service. It’s something I grew up understanding. “The customer is always right.” After listening again to her experience, I understand so much more. In todays e-commerce society you have to have mutiple forms of communication and always be checking and improving them. Trust me, I will be checking all my social platforms and communication channels even more now!
I learned a great deal by listening to Laurie’s experience and hope you did too. By understanding how important it is to keep an open communication and to talk to your customers (and how NOT talking to them) can really effect your business. Now I want to hear from you. Do you feel your communication channels with your customers are good, okay or not great? If not great was your answer, start working on it. Because understanding your clients needs and making their experience awesome will keep them coming back to you.

A little love from a former student:
“I had no idea that developing my ideal client would become so important to me and my business. Darla from Creative Biz School helped me identify my ideal client and I found that by targeting and catering to my ideal client my marketing improved, my focus improved, and my product improved.
“Once I listened and followed Darla’s advice it became easy and even fun to develop my ideal client. Because of Darla’s program I asked questions about my ideal client that I never would have. I ended up with a rock solid understanding of who is most likely to buy my work and where to find them.”
